Port-Vila, Vanuatu – 18 August 2022: On 18 August 2022, the National University of Vanuatu (NUV) and the Vanuatu Institute of Technology (VIT) signed an agreement to support the VIT Learning Resource Center in purchasing tables, chairs and French textbooks, refurbish and equip two VIT classrooms. The two new classrooms will be co-used by the NUV and VIT learners. The agreement was possible thanks to the Fonds de Solidarité pour les projets innovants, les sociétés civiles, la francophonie et le développement humain (FSPI) between the French Embassy in Vanuatu and the NUV signed on 2 July 2022.

Port-Vila, Vanuatu – 12 August 2022: On Thursday 11 August 2022, AFD - Agence française de développement regional Director in the Pacific visited the National University of Vanuatu (NUV) following the signature of the two financing agreements with the NUV in May 2022 for a total amount of over 471 million vatu (€3.8 M - €3M grant from AFD and €0,8M EU grant delegated to AFD). This operation complements ongoing projects from French Embassy in Vanuatu and the government of New Caledonia financed by AFD and represents a major strategic development in Vanuatu's education and digital development policy.

Port-Vila, Vanuatu – 16 May 2022: The National University of Vanuatu (NUV), the Ministry of Climate Change Adaptation, Meteorology, Geo-Hazards, Environment, Energy and Disaster Management (MoCC) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations (FAO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday 16 May 2022. The purposes of this MoU are to develop academic and educational cooperation, strengthen working and research links between NUV, MoCC and FAO to support the government policy, strengthen the NUV School of Science by adding a practical approach to the national programs developed in the field of Environmental Science and related fields and promote the integration of the Vanuatu Agriculture College into the NUV.
