Student Association

The students’ representatives are students in the various courses offered by the National University of Vanuatu (NUV). 

• To represent the voices of NUV’s students
• To facilitate students’ involvement in various activities and events organised by NUV
• Promote, protect and preserve the rights, interests and well-being of the students

• To create innovative activities to encourage students’ participation
• To develop relationships and networks between NUV’s students and the professional actors to create career paths
• To optimise the organisational structure and processes to better serve students

The main focus of NUV’s Student Association is to encourage students in participating to social activities organised by the NUV Student Association and NUV as well as support the well-being and the learning of NUV’s students.

The NUV Student Association is based in the main campus of NUV, in Port Vila, Vanuatu. The members of the council are mandated for three years.

• Management of the membership fees
• Monthly fundraising with cake sale
• Sports (futsal, beach-volley, cricket, rugby)

• Build a Farea to shelter NUV’s students
• Install electricity plugs in the Farea

• Organise a cultural week every year
• Organise the celebration of the Environment Week
• Promote NUV in Vanuatu
• Customer service training
• Organise other events or functions as required
