Port-Vila, Vanuatu –Thursday 17 July 2025:  The National University of Vanuatu (NUV) was pleased to host its Open Days on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 July 2025 at the main campus in Port Vila.

High school students, parents, adults seeking to upskill, and professionals gathered to explore new qualifications or career paths. NUV’s campus drew an impressive turnout and was bustling with activity over the two days.

The Open Days offered a unique opportunity to visit the campus, explore the learning environment, discover the wide range of academic and professional programs available, and meet NUV’s dedicated staff and students. Visitors learned firsthand about university life, support services, and the many pathways offered by NUV.

The Open Days provided valuable insight into the diverse opportunities available at the National University of Vanuatu for students preparing for the next step after secondary school or professionals considering further education.

Vice-Chancellor Jean-Pierre Nirua witnessed the remarkable crowd and expressed his gratitude. He said, “The Open Days are an important time for us to connect with the community and show what NUV has to offer.”

NUV and its partners are taking meaningful steps toward a more sustainable and resilient Vanuatu. NUV’s development is aligned with the Vanuatu People’s Plan and the Vanuatu Education and Training Sector Strategic Plan. The education and training programs under NUV are based on the priorities of the country’s National Human Resource Development Plan 2020-2030 (NHRDP).
