Course Description

The National University of Vanuatu’s (NUV) program in Climate Resilience & Humanitarian Action (CRHA) is uniquely designed to address the climate change challenges and the training needs of Vanuatu.

The Professional Micro-Credentials (PMC) are short term certificate programs, focusing on specific content areas within the program. All PMCs are accepted into the diploma program, and enrolment and admissions are also flexible, accommodating traditional and professional learners.

The first two PMCs have been offered since on 1st March 2023. They include:

  1. Professional Micro-credential in Project & Program Management: three courses providing key skills in Project Design, Monitoring and Evaluation; Administration, People Management and Logistics; Finance, Funding and Grant writing.
  2. Professional Micro-credential in Climate Resilience & Humanitarian Action: four courses that serve as the core of all other NUV CRHA diploma programs, providing key skills in Climate Resilience, Climate Change, Humanitarian Action, and Vanuatu/Pacific Economics, Politics and Culture.

Fees

Each course has a tuition fee of 30,000 vatu. Program fees vary with the number of courses in the program. NUV has a small number of scholarships available, and students can also apply for scholarships through the Ministry of Education and Training scholarship office.

Registration

If you plan to apply to one of the courses, you must follow the steps below:

  1. Complete the pre-enrolment form online
  2. Carefully read the information contained in this form
  3. Fill in your personal information accurately
  4. Collect the required documents:
    –    Identity document (national ID card, driving license, VNPF card…)
    –    Birth certificate
    –    A copy of your Baccalaureate degree, South Pacific Form Seven Certificate (SPFSC), Vanuatu University Entrance Certificate (VUEC) or Diplôme d’accès aux études universitaires (DAEU) degree and your Result Slip
    –    Relevant transcripts
    –    One clear and recent identification photo (clear background)
    –    A Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  5. You will be notified by email to come and complete your registration if your application has been approved.
