The Bachelor of Education (Secondary Teaching) is a four-year program that focuses on the professional training of secondary teachers. Designed to suit the context of teaching in Vanuatu, the program offers the opportunity to obtain a high-quality degree accredited by the Vanuatu Qualification authority. The program aims to develop competencies and skills in secondary teaching from years 7-13 and builds on an extensive articulation between theory and practice to produce quality teachers that are professional, can work with the community and willing to improve the learning of the children.

In the secondary program, students have to choose a combination of two majors. For example, Physics/Maths or English/History, etc.

Entry Requirement
Admission to the program requires students to have achieved their South Pacific Form Seven Certificate (SPFSC) or the Vanuatu University Entrance Certificate (VUEC) or the Diplôme d’Accès au Etudes Universitaires (DAEU) or Baccalauréat or any other qualification equivalent to those mentioned above.
Teachers can also apply to the program, provided they have a Certificate III with more than 5-year teaching experience in the field.
