Course Description

The National University of Vanuatu’s (NUV) Advanced Diploma programs in Climate Resilience & Humanitarian Action (CRHA) are uniquely designed to address specialised issues addressing climate change challenges and the training needs of Vanuatu.

Using an interdisciplinary approach fully aligned with national and regional plans, the CRHA Advanced Diploma programs provide Vanuatu professionals and students with much-needed skills in humanitarian action, climate change adaptation, disaster response and recovery, and climate resilience policy and administration.

Students can enter these two-year (240 credit) programs by first fulfilling the requirements of the Diploma in CRHA.

The specialisations are offered in the second year via specialised courses and an applied research project or an internship component.

Upon completion of the initial diploma, students can then select one of three specialisations:

  1. Humanitarian Action
  2. Climate Change Adaptation & Disaster Response Recovery
  3. Climate Resilience Policy & Administration

Where applicable, students may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning, covering courses taken elsewhere or other related experience.
