Pierre Metsan, Coordinator of National Bilingual Training and Anne-Sophie Vivier, International Technical Expert, participated in the 3rd Conference of the Pacific Island Universities Network (PIURN) which took place in Papeete from 8 to 10 October 2018, on the site of the University of French Polynesia.
The theme chosen for this 3rd conference was "Traditional Knowledge, Academic Knowledge and University Research Orientation in the Pacific Region".
Invited by the University of New Caledonia, their presence at this conference made it possible to present the Vanuatu National University project to the members of the Network's Board of Directors.
The objective was also to introduce the project to develop a bilingual bachelor degree in environmental sciences planned for 2020 in order to form partnerships for its implementation.
Among the PIURN network member universities present at this conference, we can mention the University of New Caledonia, University of the South Pacific, Samoa National University, Solomon Islands National University, University of French Polynesia, Fiji National University, University of Goroka, Divine word University.
